A humectant that can hold up to 1000 x its own weight in water. Smaller weights of hyaluronic acid penetrate deep into the stratum corneum to draw water upwards through the layers, while the larger sizes sit on top of the complexion creating a hydration reservoir to feed the skin with moisture.
